Indictments in Pickaway Co homicide

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Pickaway County Grand Jury has indicted five suspects arrested in connection with shooting death of Thomas Whitson.

Shaun Lawson, 30, of Columbus is Whitson's grandson. He was indicted on two counts of aggravated murder with gun specifications, two counts of murder with gun specifications, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated burglary, and grand theft.

Kyle Robinson, 20, was also indicted on charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary, and grand theft.

Joshua Johnson, 20, was indicted for aggravated burglary and grand theft.

Jordan Legg, 17, was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary, and grand theft.

Jesse Akers, 17, was indicted for murder, aggravated burglary, and grand theft.

"All seven firearms taken in the burglary have been recovered and are off the street," said Pickaway County Sheriff Robert Radcliff.

Radcliff says they got a lot of help from people in the Columbus neighborhood where several of the suspects lived.

"It is very saddening to see adults and juveniles involved in this serious of a crime," he said.

Whitson was found shot to death inside his Orient home last Sunday.
