WESTFIELD STATE SENATOR CALLS IT QUITS

State Senator Michael Knapik says he is resigning at the end of the week to take a job with Westfield State University. He will become a top advisor of Westfield State President Evan Dobelle. Dobelle says he wasn't aware that he was interested in the job until he was a finalist. Dobelle for his part is the subject of an investigation into the way he spent university funds.
